Chemex Classic 900 ml Coffeemaker - an hourglass-shaped coffeemaker made from a single piece of glass, with a design unchanged since 1941, and part of the MoMA permanent collection in New York. But it's purchased not for its beauty, but for its taste.

Chemex filters are about three times thicker than regular ones. They retain coffee oils and the finest particles, resulting in an exceptionally clean and clear beverage, without any bitterness. Flavor notes emerge more distinctly than with any other method – making Chemex especially suitable for light-roasted, fruity coffees.

How to brew

• Coffee quantity: 40-45 g of medium-coarse grind
• Water: 700 ml, 93-94 °C
• Duration: 4-5 min from the first pour
• Process: 40 s initial bloom, then pour in a circular motion in several stages

Due to the thick filter, water flows slower, so grind coarser than for V60 – otherwise, brewing will take too long and the coffee will become bitter.

• Filters are not included. Chemex only works with original Chemex Circle filters (100 pcs.) – regular basket or V60 filters will not fit due to their shape and thickness
