AeroPress Original coffee maker - one of the simplest ways to make a rich, clean cup at home in about a minute and a half. The pressure principle extracts more flavour than filter brewing, but without the price of an espresso machine and without a power socket.

The brewer is made of plastic and is virtually unbreakable, so it suits travel, the office or a summer house. All you need is hot water and ground coffee.

In the box

• AeroPress brewer (chamber and plunger)

How to brew

• Coffee dose: 15-17 g of medium-fine grind
• Water: 220 ml, 85-92 °C
• Steeping: 1-2 min., then press slowly for 20-30 s

A lower water temperature (around 85 °C) reduces bitterness - if the coffee tastes too sharp, start there.
